Thes are from the premiership coach website: http://www.premiership-coach.com/Football_Management_Game_Features.htmlPossible Future Inclusions - State of Origin - International Rules - International Rookies - Expansion teams, eg. Gold Coast/West Sydney or make your own - Start with fantasy draft - Option to start with real lists, but before trade week of the previous year - Watch game highlights - Dream Team/Super Coach/Champion Data points per game - In-game Dream Team comps - Editor details - Audio commentary - Address players on the bench during matchday All great ideas. There could also be: -Player who misbehaves meaning you have to fine him or in worst case trade him or delist him. eg. Fevola -Real crowd and membership downs if the club is not performing well and the oppisite if doing well. -Coaches wanting to move from club for another offer. -Ritired players wanting a coaching job at club. -More advanced matchday. -Able to view possible draftpick highlights on matchday. -Able to have a day to talk to draft picks and see if they would like your club. -Watch the draft camp live and see the results and front runners of the day. -Offers from other clubs if sacked.

Newpaper atricles: simple idea that adds alot to the game. Could have such storys as "Geelong coach calls Essendon pathetic","Tigers announces rebuilding stage", "Tambling to be traded end of year", "Ablett Vs Judd this weekend" ect... things that add diversity to the game. My idea behind this is that most articles wouldn't be big news just atricles on form slumps and that jazz, but every now and then a big article such as the ones i've named above could come up with computer clubs and Human clubs- human clubs media controversy(good or bad) could tie in with another one of my ideas the media centre page this is a new part of the game, you have to go there once a week and be interviewed by a media person or go to a press conference or release a article on your team website(has to be done 1 time a week and a max of 3) and what you say in these interviews/articles could directly affect what comes in the weekly newpaper about your side. For example a media interviewer asks you about your clubs poor form and lack of success over the past 3 years, you have 4 presets you can select all with different reprecussions you select "announce end of year cleanout" this then ties in with another question such as " any players who will be traded end of year" you answer and say for example " yes, Thomas will go due to lack of form since his drafting" this has the potential for 2 articles in teh weekly newspaper one being "Tigers anounces rebuilding" another being "Thomas on thin ice". Just one example and i'm sure we can expand on this greatly.
Tradeweek: A few ideas here are: players asking to be traded to a certain club(could also create an article in the media centre page. 3 and 4 way trades E.g the Burgouyne trade that occured this week.
Coach movements: You as a coach have a level of job security which changes with performance just like in real life once it reaches a certain level you could go under a "coaches review" and you may end of getting sacked of you do, you can apply for another job and if succesful you coaching career stays alive if not you can select option to retire (game over and your coaching records are recorded or the option "next year" this skips a whole coaching year and you can apply for jobs the next year hoping to pick one up and keep your career alive.
Adress players:This is the ability to adress players pre game, mid game and end of game (maybe even during training) instructing them that they are playing for there careers(News articles again) or during game instructing them to "get into judd" ect. Yet again could be expanded on heavily.
International rules and international scouting this is pretty self explanatory but would be great to have.
Draft camp and draft day:You could conduct interviews with potential draftees, finding out a bit about thier personality and what they want in footy(this would directly affetc they way the play ect). You could also have a draftboard up all year which has the first 30 picks and where they're expected to go at the time in the year you look, this could be affected by potential draftees becoming injured, playing blinders, having a god draft camp ect.. could have both negative and positve affects. Example a player could be touted number one at the start of the year but could play really average in the TAC cup and sustain O.P this could see them slide on the "draftboard" from 1st to 10th.
Ability to create an expansion team:[/b]Pretty self explanatory, Ability to choose a career where you start an expansion team from scratch creating everything building the list, guernseys, they city ist in, starting in TAC cup and then VFL then AFL.
"Be a player mode": Like the game "footy star" except much more indepth and realistic.Suggestions?
also some great ideas are:
Upgrading facilities
Relocating a team or just building a new home ground elsewhere
Media interviews after every game and before big games
ability to tell players they're playing for thier careers or they will be given a payrise ect
To be able to tell players during matchday to "get into judd" ect
Any good ideas on expanding & improving matchday??

Fantastic ideas that. Like the media centre format. I have been suggesting something like this, so good to see some other ideas and people keen on it.

A way that we could get this to work is to have attributes that can be attacked, like a composure guage or something. For example, coach can tell players with a weak composure guage to 'get under their skin' with some agression. Obviosuly, most elite players generally are not affected by this (unless they are tagged exceptionally). But this could be a good addition. The tagger could have an attribute, making him more or less likely to force the other player to make mistakes. This could be tied in with endurace/fitness and morale levels too; players struggling with morale or fatigue could ultimatly have lower compsure guages for that game.

Draftboard and Club draft board. The draft board starts from round 1 and finishese Gf day it is the medias predictions of where a player will go which chnages due to injuries, preformances, what clubs say in teh media (another idea) and players general Hype, the media will be not so accurate round 1 but after Gf day the final "media Board" would look close to the correct order (like this year e.g butcher sliding ect).. Club board is yoru scouts opinions which is more accurate and more in depth... expand guys I think it has potential... noones noticed yet.

I reckon what would be good is with the money you earn as a coach, when you have gotten a certain amount you can chose to leave your current club and you can create your own team and start low down in the leagues and build your way up, but that would have to mean a mode has to be created for promotion and relegation so yeah that's just an idea.

Not sure if this has been said.. Just a few suggestions, understand if it's just not an option.
Possibly starting your career as an assistant coach and building your way up. E.g. start as forwards coach at Collingwood and do well, then get offered the main gig at another club. Also when starting your career you should be able to choose your history. E.g. are you a past legend of the game e.g. Michael Voss? Or were you an average player but have a good footy brain e.g. Clarkson? Or maybe you were just a VFL legend?
You should be able to contact players discretely during the season and talk to them about coming to your club next season. Whilst you cant make any official moves, you could just contact Gary Abletts manager and he may say go away, talk after the season or be willing to discuss it..
Cant wait for this game.

'm not sure how you have constructed the trading system, but in previous AFL games the trading has been terrible. First of all, other clubs should be able to offer possible trades to you. Rather than you doing all the offering. There should also be a trade table with a list of players who clubs are hoping to trade. E.g. Everyone knew Fevola was getting traded, so he would be on the table. You should also get a reason for getting rejected. E.g. The club might say no, we dont want to trade away Luke Ball for Fevola because we need a midfielder and we have enough forwards.
When players retire, the game should offer legitimate reasons. E.g. Too old, too many injuries etc. Not 'starting a career in surf rock' (like on one of the AFL games)
I think the fantasy draft option is a good idea, if you dont like it, you dont have to use it. But it does add some nice variety into NBA games.
Again, not sure about how you've constructed this, but pre season should start in November. Organising a training schedule would be a good feature. Assistant coaches can do it for you, or you can do it yourself. Starting the season the week of the first game, like in older games is unrealistic.
And players should be able to pull out of games late. E.g. Named on Thursday night, but one of the emergencies has to step in.

Addiction Guaranteed!!
This is THE most addictive game I have EVER played. I used to have a wife but haven’t seen her since March 25. Here are my thoughts on how to make the game move to the ‘ELITE’ category.
1. Salary Cap - Opposition constantly breaches salary cap. In my 3rd year Melbourne could not afford to keep Scully, Trengove, Watts, and all 3 were put into the pre season draft. - Salary cap increases too much each year. 2. Staff wages. These get a little extreme as the game develops, having to pay specialist coaches more than $3m a year, when a 96 rated tall forward is only on $1.5m. 3. Premiership Coach Medal. - Not sure how this works, but my full forward had 28 possessions, 19 marks, 7 tackles, 12 goals, didn’t even get 1 vote, nearest possession winner to him was on 24. This goes for the all Australian team also. 4. Stats during the game - Would like to be able to see both team stats during the game, maybe design the game screen to allow this? Also live substitutes, etc. screen visible at all times? 5. Tactics. Maybe add player specific tactics as well as the current position tactic. 6. I read a forum idea about auto gen by the qtr instead of by the match, this is a great idea. 7. Scouting - Maybe the scouting can become more in depth, at the moment it looks like once you reach 100% scouting of a player you know the total result and so does all the other teams, and when you do not scout a player to 100% it doesn’t really matter because you still get to see his current rating and his potential rating. Maybe this could be fine tuned. - The current version does not allow for surprises, eg. Fevola being an elite player that was originally drafted at number 37. 8. Media interaction. 9. Player interaction. 10. 3D match engine would be awesome 11. Maybe add a financial part of the game into it, and make it an option to play it at the beginning of the game. 12. Upgrading of stadium facilities. 13. Attendances are a little wrong. Essendon v Collingwood prelim final only attracting 50,000? I reckon either make it deadly accurate or go back to the old days and bring back Windy Hill & Victoria Park. With the options of stadium, stands, facilities upgrades throughout the years. 14. Adding stats like inside 50’s sounds great. Effective & ineffective kicks. Also adding ‘Super Coach’ scores would be fantastic. 15. Retiring Players. Maybe when a player retires you can still see his bio. Including premierships played in, medals won, games played and stats averages. 16. Awards. Norm Smith Medal? Also maybe highlight awards better. Adding in the player bio. 17. Father/Son. Works really well. 18. Trade week is awesome, and my favourite part of the game.

Something i have seen from most stories is players regularly kick 10+ goals a game. Maybe cap it at say 10 cause noone kicks more than 10 anymore anyway. But still players rarely kick over 100 in a year so Jack Riewoldt kicking 13 one week and 12 the next isn't realistic.

I would like to see this in the game:
- State of Origin - International Rookies - Expansion teams, eg. Gold Coast/West Sydney or make your own - Start with fantasy draft - Option to start with real lists, but before trade week of the previous year - Watch game highlights - Dream Team/Super Coach/Champion Data points per game - In-game Dream Team comps - Editor details - Audio commentary - Norm Smith Medal - An stats generator like Stat Sniffer displays every players stats since 1994. This includes game by game stats, totals, averages and career bests. When in career mode Stat Sniffer combines with your careers stats. If you're a stats nut this is worth getting the game alone! - 1,2 player or spectator modes - Control where players run on the ground and how tight to play their opponent - Ball track view of the game - Detailed Game Analysis which tracks every possesion, a ground view shows where players have picked up disposals and kicked goals, how effective their possesions have been and even how many kilometres they have covered! - Player confidence, see teams and individual players get on hot streaks. - Create your own injuries and reports - Redraft an entire list and start a career with completely new teams - Massive Career Mode with no year limits - Cyclic Career means each season blends from one to the next as you take part in all 52 weeks. - All stats kept from season to season creating a huge database of archived stats to draw from. - Five different stages in a year - Break, Off Season, Pre Season, Season and Finals. Each of these has certain weekly tasks assigned to it. - Training Sessions - set each players level of intensity, players can get injured during sessions. - Player contracts - negotiate with players at any point during the season. Players will have different re-sign moods throughout the year. Sign players to pending contracts which roll over during the off season. - New players are generated from a name database of over 6,500 surnames. - National Draft, Pre Season Draft and Rookie Draft all included. - Leadership Group - set a captain and up to 3 vice captains. - Reserves played each week where you can check your reserves form and boost their experience. - End of season awards including Rising Star, All-Australian, Mark/Goal of the Year, Top Goal Kicker, Coach of the Year, Media MVP and Brownlow - Home sick players may ask to be traded back to home state. - Coach Score, get points for accomplishing different tasks in the game. Over 50 tasks featured. Compare your score with your friends! - Round by Round Best Performances stored - Historic stats kept, see who has kicked the most goals, played the most games etc during the span of your entire career - View Development of players from year to year - Players have different development ratings for each position. 9 ratings are given to development alone. FX or Footy eXperience points are given allowing players to level up and gain ratings boosts. Mould players into new positions by giving them experience there. Players can become Masters of a position. - No big ratings changes at the end of the season, players ratings will change each week. - Complex injury system. When a player gets injured an estimation of the days they will be out is given, this can be longer or shorter than the actual length. Players can come back before they are fully healed but have a greater chance of reinjury. Injuries are rolled over to the next season, for example, if a player does his knee badly in round 5 one season he might not be back to round 10 the next one. Injury history is kept and players can develop a recurring injury - not the left hamstring again!... - Players retire during the break. - Ability to Sim any feature you're not interested in. Focus on just list management, match day coaching, player development etc if you choose.

i think the soccer management sims are a good template. The press conferences and the media options they have are good. Squad interaction and pre/post match talks to give your team an edge. I also think the match day play could be simplified a bit like just clicking on the players you want to interchange or right clicking a player to change his positioning and instructions. Overall ive been pleasantly suprised where this game is at so early in its life. From what ive gathered alot of players just sim the match day cos its a bit "stop start" (and time consuming) and to do it properly you really have to do it on the slowest speed. So simplifying that to make your changes and decisions "on the fly" would be the top of my list without having to pause the game and pop up windows so you can do it at a higher game speed.
