Hi,

Firstly great effort from the community, have been following this site for some time and cant wait for release (havent got the beta).

Just a question about tactics. In the screens it looks like players line up in traditional 3 backs, 3 half backs, wings, rucks, 3 half forwards, 3 forwards positions.

Is it possible to edit this area, eg - play loose man in defence, or bring players up to the wing?

Secondly, will the game run on windows 7?

Lastly is there anyway to get the beta or do i have to wait until release?

Hey mate. Not too sure about the tactics, but the game will run in Windows 7. If you encounter bugs trying to run it in Win7, check out the Technical Support page. There is a good troubleshooing guide there.

Yep, this is something that I'm keen to expand on in the future, but for now this is the only real positioning move that you can make for the bounces.

Outside of that you can give direction to positions like having ruckmen drifting forward or into defense, or your wings pushing forward/back, back flanks playing up the ground etc.

So in future versions we may see something like the champ manager soccer series where you can change the formations effectively having a seven backs etc...

well the thing with that is different to afl from soccer there is only 6 defence postions but in soccer you can have like 3 centre backs or whatever you chose to play more defensively and afl only has the full back, chb, back pockets and half back flanks there is not another 7th postion like you can't have two right back pockets.

so I think how it is now where you can send an instruction to a player to drift into defence is the better idea and you dont have to worry about moving postions just change their instructions.

OK, as long as you can flood the backline when youre hanging onto a slim lead in the last quarter Smile

Yes each player has several instructions that you can give them depending on their positions (ie forwards options are play as a marking forward, out of the goal square, play loose man in defence, play up the ground and a few others)

Yes it will run on windows 7 I play it on windows 7

Beta is close but the full game is to be release on the 25th of March THIS YEAR so in 15 days you can get your own copy.
