Unfortunately I'm going to be announcing another release push back on the website later today - to the end of Septenber. While i know it'll be disppointing to many people I'm committed to having the game right before releasing it and while things are shaping up nicely we're not quite there yet.

While the game itself is complete there are a number of areas that still require further balance and testing and some bugs still to be sorted out. In response to some of the feedback that we've had I'm also going to be enhancing some areas including the matchday AI.

The reception overall has been very positive and the game has evolved constantly over the past few month with thanks to some excellent suggestions and feedback from the Beta teasters. I'm confident that you'll be more than happy with the end result and glad that we took the time to get things right rather than rushing out an incomplete product.

Also, please keep in mind that preorders are still open for people who are keen to see the game now, with twice weekly updates throughout this final testing phase.

Were you pausing for suspense with those last 2 posts? lol

No problems mate, it might work out to be a good in the end because it'll give us some footy action post-grand final, because the cricket ain't what it used to be!

so does this mean the game will be released and then a month later it will be inaccurate due to trade week and the upcoming drafts?

i still think you should leave the release until the start of next season and call it prem. coach 2010, will have updated lists and ratings etc. and gives more time to test it and fix things, maybe even add more in.

As most other people, i would rather wait longer for some small improvements to the game than have it released too early. Agree with kangle I think it should be held off until 2010 to ensure everything is good to go. I know what ill be doing this summer

Yeah , I'm a huge fan of this idea... we could add in some more things test out throughly and have it all updated too next season.. realllyy good idea and should seriously be considered.

I'd be in support of delaying the release until the new year as well.

Thanks for the comments guys.

You raise some good points but the final release will definitely be this year, and there will be an update to coincide with the start of the new season next year.

The goal here is have all features complete, balanced and bug free. Updates to content we can handle pretty easily after release.

yeah better to come out with no issues.
But me and all my mate's are wanting to know if the only way we can get our hands on this game is by purchasing online using the preorder thing?
If we can get it from stores, which stores will be selling copies? In Adelaide for example!?

Won't be in stores mate. Just download. Just easier and costs less money

Hey,

Sorry to sound stupid, but am I right in saying that the pre-order i placed about a week ago, and the download page emailed to me, will install the BETA version of the game? Is that right? And then when the actual game is fully released i can simply go back to the same download page and download the final version of the game?

Cheers

If you have preordered already, contact Ad about getting your forum access upgraded to gain access to the Supporters Club forums. Updates to the game and BETA downloads are all there.

I just upgraded your access so you should be set there.

As far as the current download Vs the full game goes, I'll be releasing 2 updates a week until the final version is ready. You can download the latest update at any time and that will bring you right up to date (so if you have version 1.00.20 and we're on 1.00.30 when you download you dont need all the ones in between).

The final version will be available as an update as well for those who already have the Beta.

Once your payment comes through from Paypal I'll send you an email with your registration code and link to download the game. Depending on the day of the week that's normally within 24 hours, although if you catch me on the weekend it can take a bit longer.

This is a suggestion but you could delay the release date till after the trade and draft so the teams have updated rosters and the team ratings could be perfected. If you play games with old rosters etc. they get boring because you want the realism of current players to make it a better experience.

No it will be a bout $50

Just consider this has been in the works for 2 years now, with many many people spending a lot of time developing this game.
